Thats why we aren't frozen and sitting in the corner of our rooms, chewing our nails off. The friends you make now, will be your friends forever if you let them. Friendship is like a board game. Hard times and easy. You can tuck it away at the back of your life and never take a 2nd glance at it.
If you aren't nice to your friends, I might as well ask what planet your from. If you don't have any control over yourself and you feel like your friend's slave, then they aren't really your friends.
